In the ancient world, knowledge of a person's name was believed to give one power over that person and to show a personal relationship. For the Hebrew people the knowledge of the Name of a person, or the supreme deity, meant that they were able to have a personal relationship with Him.
The using of the Names YaHWeH and YaHushuah are definitely important. Just the mere use of the Name YaHWeH more than 6,800 times in the Tanakh shows how important it is to use it. The Creator went to great lengths to show to us how important it was that we use His Name by what He said about it. It is important that we use it to refer to Him and that we do not misuse it, or use it in a vain manner.
Exodus 20:7, "You do not bring the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught. Leviticus 24:16, ‘And he who blasphemes the Name of יהוה shall certainly be put to death, and all the congregation certainly stone him, the stranger as well as the native. When he blasphemes the Name, he is put to death. Jer 23:26-27 "Till when shall it be in the heart of the prophets? – the prophets of falsehood and prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make My people forget My Name by their dreams which everyone relates to his neighbour, as their fathers forgot My Name for Baʽal (L-rd)."

Why should I use the Names
Why is it that you should use the Names of YaHWeH (Yahweh) and YaHushuah (Yahushuah, Yahushua, Yahshua)? These names have meanings and power.
The terms that are normally associated with the Creator of the Universe and The Messiah (G-d, L-rd, J-sus, Chr-st, etc.) are sometimes associated with pagan uses.
The Term “G-d” for instance,…. If a person is speaking to another person about “G-d,” who are they speaking about? Are they speaking of the Judeo-Christian deity, or are they speaking of Shiva (G-d in
With the term “Ch-st,” it means “anointed.” As it is a Greek word, let us take a look at what it meant to the Greek people. In their History, there were many which were “annointed.” Their deities (Zu-s, H-des, etc.), Heraclese [Herculese], M-thras, as well as many others. This term, “Chr-stos,” was used to say that the person or figure was special in some way.
Throughout history, the terms have been used for many purposes and the meanings have changed with each individual use. These terms are not even names in the sense of the word. If you were in another country and you were asked what your name was and you told them, but they refused to use it and instead just referred to you as “that guy,” how would you feel? Every place that you went, all you heard was “hi that guy!,” or “hey that guy,” and then someone else comes to the same place as you and they start calling him “that guy,” what then? Are you the first “that guy,” or are you the new “that guy?”
Within Scripture (the Scriptures of the Hebrew people), we were given the Names of the Creator of the Universe and of The Messiah. The Names were ones that we were told to use and that they should be used for specific purposes. By looking on the main page of this site, you can see that the Name of YaHWeH was [again] given to Moshe [Moses] and that it was the Name that was to be used for all generations. The Name YaHushuah was given for the purpose of our prayers coming to YaHWeH, even if we are not worthy of approaching the presence of YaHWeH. The Messiah told us that He came in the Name of His Father, this is done within the Names that we were given. The YaH in YaHWeH is a shortened form which contains the Power (masculinity) of the Name and the Name YaHushuah has that Power within the beginning of it. The Name YaHushuah has the meaning of, “YaHWeH you are Salvation.” But, the question is, “Why should I use the Names and not the names and titles that I heard everyone else use and grew up hearing?” If that question has not already been answered, here is something else. Names were used in ancient society and to some extent, still are used to show acknowledgement of a personal relationship. Knowing and using these Names, shows the people around you and the world, that you have a personal relationship with them. This is what the Creator of the Universe wants. He wants for you to come into an intimate knowledge of who He is and wants to share in the joys that bring Him pleasure. If you do not even know His Name, or if you refuse to use His Name, then how is any of that possible? You are to become friends which love each other and share in everything that comes your way. Black elderberry is most commonly known for its medicinal uses in the aid of upper respiratory infections, constipation, and fever. It is an antiviral which has the ability to stimulate the immune system. Black elderberry has even been known to show positive effects against the herpes simplex virus and HIV. “A clinical trial of elderberry found that it cured ninety percent of flu infections within 72 hours.”
Black elderberry can be both internally and externally. Internally only the flowers and berries can be ingested. Pure alcoholic tinctures, vinegar and alcoholic tinctures (acetum), teas and syrups can be made out of the flowers and berries. The pure alcoholic tincture form can be made out of either fresh or dried flowers. To make the acetum tincture form, “pack the flowers in a crock or jar and cover with simmering hot apple cider vinegar. Cover and set aside overnight, then pour off through cheesecloth.” (Cech, 144) A tea can be made out of dried flowers and ingested hot or cold. There are two ways syrup can be made out of black elderberry. The first way involves mixing one part of dried elderberry flower tea with two parts of honey. The second way consists of mixing two parts honey for every one part of juice made from raw or cooked berries.
Externally, black elderberry can be used as a wash, a bath solution, oils, salves or creams. The wash form can be made by taking cold elder tea. This can benefit oily or acne skin. The bath solution is usually used in combination with elderberry tea or tincture to cure a fever. To make the solution add dried black elderberry flowers to a muslin bag. The bag is then added to hot bath water. This will help sweat out the fever. One of the few uses involving the leaves is included in the making of oils, salves or creams. To make herbal oil out of black elderberry, use fresh, green leaves. The oil can be used alone or mixed to make a salve or cream. The use of the leaves is beneficial to old burns, ulcerations and hemorrhoids.
The black elderberry contains nearly five times the level of anthocyanins (natural antioxidants) of the blueberry!
The black elderberry has twice the overall antioxidant capability of the cranberry!
Research data from studies around the world have proven black elderberry extract to be effective in shortening the duration of influenza A and B. In fact, many people who use elderberry extract never get the flu at all.
Among all fruits, elderberries are the most concentrated source of anthocyanins, a class of flavonoids that act as powerful antioxidants to boost the immune system and protect the body’s cells from harm.
These anthocyanins are found in the purple pigment of black elderberries, and according to Dr. Gerhard Rechkemmer, president of Germany’s Federal Research Institute for Nutrition and Food, they have significantly greater antioxidant capacity than common antioxidants such as Vitamin C. In fact, Dr. Rechkemmer’s research has shown that the anthocyanins in black elderberry actually boost the production of cytokines, the proteins that act as messengers within our immune system, and thereby serve to enhance the body’s immune response.
Cytokines play a crucial role in the immune system’s response to disease. Cytokines work in ways very similar to hormones. They are released by immune cells into the blood stream or locally into body tissue during an immune response. There are many different types of cytokines including interleukins, interferons and tumor necrosis factors. Why are anthocyanins so important? These compounds are powerful antioxidants that protect cells against free radicals, while boosting the immune system at the same time.
Several studies have shown that extracts from the fruits of the black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) may help to activate the immune system by increasing inflammatory cytokine production. (Barak 2001, Barak2002))
Both studies above found that extracts from black elderberries helped increase the production of interleukins 6 and 8 (IL-6, IL-8) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α;). All of which have been shown to have pro-inflammatory properties in fighting infection (2,3).
One study (Barak 2002) also demonstrated that an extract of black elderberry increased the production of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10.
Warnings for use of Black Elderberry
The seeds of raw elder berries can be extremely toxic, which is why most physicians suggest buying Sambucol, which is a commercial form of black elderberry syrup. Since there are about 20 different species of elderberries, it is important only to make homeopathic remedies from the trees that produce black, blue or purple berries. The trees that produce red berries have been proven to hold a higher level of toxicity.
